Murston School, Sittingbourne, Kent

A KCC (Kent County Council) project was to create a safe and dry canopied walkway from one school to another approximately 500 yards up their adjoining sports play areas.

We first needed to secure the site, as the school was open during the building period. It featured 36 1 metre x 3 metre pads equally spaced up the grassed play area. A concrete walkway with a deep blue coloured Canopy above to protect the children while they changed schools.

At the end of the canopy we built 32 step stairway up to the upper school with bright lights so that it could be used during the night or winter months. Carefully landscaping the whole area to blend into the trees to the left and grass play area to the right.
